Common Poorwills are relatively common in southeast Arizona during the warmer months, much more often heard than seen. Rarely, Poorwills can be encountered in the winter. At night they frequently can be found on and along roads where they feed. During the day they roost among rocks and under bushes, and will occasionally flush.
